‘15%’ is the new single from singer-songwriter Victoria Canal. It’s a spacious, lilting piece of indie folk that wraps her voice in a mellow texture supported by hauntingly beautiful strings. The live performance video that has been released alongside the track sees Canal start the performance gently strumming her acoustic guitar, before switching to the piano for its heartbreakingly melodic climax. “This is the social anxiety, the existential doubt,” she explains. “Because when you're at the party, you think you're hot shit, and then when you're going home, you're like, ‘Oh, did everybody actually hate me?.” Victoria Canal’s debut album, Slowly, It Dawns, is out on January 17th, 2024, via Parlophone Records. -Dan Peeke
